The festive season called for festive cupcakes. I bought the gingerbread figure decorations at the Cake and Bake Show in November so they had to be part of my work Christmas buffet.
I used a simple Gingerbread recipe with brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg and of course ginger. The decorations called for piped icing. Piping remains one of my weak areas, but even when icing late at night I could notice improvements with each cupcake.
